Crafty Advent - day 24

Just a quickie post today, as we know you will be busy.
Our sponsor today is........

Go over to our Inspiration blog for more details.

We heard a rumour that Santa was taking a few days off in Dorset before his big day!

As we walked along Studland beach we saw a man dressed in red paddling in the sea.  I said -Mollie I think that is Santa.
She ran off ahead of us to get a better look.
YES ALI  IT IS SANTA she shouted at the top of her voice.

By the time we walked the rest of the way along the beach - which seemed like ages.
We found him relaxing in a deckchair in his beach hut.

Ooooooooooh NO!

Santa has dropped his magic keys.

But do not worry - Crafty Ribbons are magic!!
We will get the keys back to Santa

Crafty Sentiments have kindly said they would sponsor us today, check them out here

We had a few unexpected visitors recently and I had to rush upstairs and use my "special"
Christmas card.  This was a quick card I made to replace it.

I find it amazing what you can do with buttons.

Really nothing to it.

Must go I have lots to do today.
If you get time, pop over to our Inspiration blog and see what the design girls have created.

Crafty Advent - day 21

Almost there, anyone getting excited.

Crafty Individuals are our great sponsors today, pop over to our Inspiration Blog
for more details, and do not forget to add your name to todays list.

I made something for me and my two special girls.

These cute little snowmen are brooches.
Can you believe they are just 2 white buttons a bit of ribbon and black felt for the hat - amazing.

The top one is for Sydney as it has a turquoise scarf and the bottom one is Mollies.
I simply stuck the two buttons to a brooch pin and tied velvet ribbon around the gap for a scarf.

This is mine.  It is a little smaller then the girls snowman and I used gingham ribbons for the scarf.

How cute are these snowmen?!

If you have not already seen the design team creations then do go and have a look here.
They really have designed some super creations for this advent.

Crafty Advent - day 20

Our warehouse is closed, so we can now enjoy the festivities!

Pink Tulip are our kind sponsors today, find out more by visiting our Inspiration blog

We had a small Christmas party in the warehouse earlier in the week.

So I made a Christmas cake....................well a sponge cake.

I had to decorate it with ribbon................ it would have been rude not too.
So I wrapped ribbon around the cake.
Then I made a tree!

With a button red star.
The girls all thought it looked wicked.
It must have tasted good too................not much left.

But sadly I could have none.......boo hoo..........Frown
I had a bad reaction to walnuts a few weeks back, really poorly and I felt very sorry for myself.
So I stopped all types of nuts - hey ho.

Since then I have had two minor reactions - both from nuts in products.
So when I unwrapped the fondant icing and read "May contain nuts"

No way hose - a swollen face looking like Santa was definitely not on my Christmas list.

Visit the design team creations over on our Inspiration blog - all nut FREE

Crafty Advent - day 19

Boy have I done some sewing for this advent!
My creation today is for my other niece Mollie and probably took me the longest time to make.

But first our wicked sponsor for today is .....Ooooh I nearly forgot it's us!!!

For a chance to win this voucher.........no.......you know what to do by now. Here.

I found this very tricky to photograph, so sorry but there are quite a few.

Mollie loves playing with her dolls and asked me if I would make a pram set for her.
I said I was very busy, could I buy her one.  Her reply was "No thanks Ali it will not have been made with love".
Oh it broke my heart

It started out as just the top cover, quilted and edged with red jumbo ric rac

I have been wanting to use ric rac in this style for ages, and believe it or not,
it was rather easy to do.

The cup cake fabric is two tea towels - I have said before I love crafting with Tea towels.

I made a quilted matress for the bottom of the pram trimmed with red bias binding, then a matching fleece blanket with cupcake detail.

Then I made a matching pillow and a really cute dolly taggie blanket.

The taggie is soooooo sweet.

I do hope she likes it.  It was definitely made with tons of love.

The design team have also been creating, so check out their creations on our Inspiration blog

Crafty Advent - day 18

Stuck for a little prezzie for a sewing friend?  Then read on....but first.

joannasheen

Joanna Sheen is our sponsor today with a selection of her crafting goodies and CD.

What do you think of these........

Little pincushions to sit on your friends crafting tables.

For the last couple of weeks I have been looking for little pots in the charity shops in Blandford.
Simply tied with 10mm Swiss Dot ribbon in Black.

This is pot is rather zingy so I used the lime Fresh Stripe ribbon for that extra splash of zest.

A perfect and quick little gift idea.

Crafty Advent - day 17

Why not sit back and relax, my project today is a little lounging delight for a little girl.

We have another super company sponsoring us today.
Visit our Inspiration blog for more info and add your name for a chance to win todays prize.

Today's creation is a Christmas prezzie for my niece Sydney.
I just hope she does not flick onto one of the office computers after school today.

I MUST stress that shocking pink and turquoise are Sydney favourite colours.

I used a bought cushion cover, drew a star shape onto the cover and simply stitched the
Basics 2 Go buttons onto the line.
At the points I used the turquoise stars from the multi star selection

I have my fingers crossed she will like it.

The design team have come up with a super collection of creations today,
do pop over Inspiration blog and say "Hi" - we love your comments.

Crafty Advent - day 16

A touch of Scandinavian Style from me today.

Letraset

We have letraset as our sponsor today with a fab collection of pro markers.
You all know what to do by now the Inspiration blog is here

We all know what the Scandinavian Style look is....
Simple white and red chic.

Felt white hearts edged with red blanket stitch and finished with classic red and white gingham ribbon

They look wicked on the tree

I used two layers of white felt.

The gingham is just perfect for this Scandinavian Style.

Why not finish the look with simple red and white parcels.

Saddle stitch ribbon and plain white tissue paper.
Super simple.

Crafty Advent - day 14

Only TEN days to go!  Not that I am excited or anything.

My creation today is another Christmas prezzie for................

......first off our fab sponsor today is LOTV again

with another super voucher for their goodies.  Thanks LOTV.

....any idea who these two canvases could be for?
Ummm Rachie and Mollie maybe!

I found a pack of canvases in The works a while back, they had the outline of tractors on them - not my style!
But they were square and I had a germ of an idea.

I used a selection of our Basics 2 Go buttons and added them to some felt on fabric.
The dotty fabric was a pack of two tea towels from Wilkinsons - I love my tea towel creations!

I stretched the fabric (tea towels) over the canvas and secured in place.

I made Rachies canvas less embellished and just added a few dotty ribbons

I am hoping Rachie will hang these in her dinning room, they will match her curtains and her table cloth!

Remember to add your name on our Inspiration blog for a chance to win the voucher,
but be warned the DT girls have more inspiration for you.
